Our Origin
Kos Partners takes its name from the Greek island of Kos, birthplace of Hippocrates and home to the Asclepeion, one of the earliest healing centers in the world. In antiquity, Kos was a place where medicine, philosophy, and environment were inseparable. Healing was understood as a holistic process, shaped by architecture, landscape, and the sensory experience of place.
In the same way Kos once redefined healing as an integrated process, we believe today’s real estate must redefine development as an integrated practice—balancing financial discipline with environments that restore and endure.
Founded by a Greek-American developer, Kos Partners draws inspiration from this legacy to shape a new model of real estate development. Just as the Asclepeion combined science, nature, and architecture, Kos Partners believes that the built environment should integrate wellness and sustainability at its foundation. Leadership
Kos Partners was founded by Katerina Gregoriou, a real estate developer with a background in architecture and engineering. With academic training in architecture and real estate development at Columbia University and mechanical engineering at Stanford University, Katerina brings an interdisciplinary perspective that bridges financial discipline with design insight.
Prior to establishing Kos Partners, Katerina led the origination and design development of complex mixed-use and hospitality projects in New York City and Europe. This experience informs the firm’s commitment to pairing institutional performance with the creation of environments that enhance quality of life.
